Educational Honors: Tom graduated Cum Laude from the University of Baltimore with a BS in Accounting. In earning his MBA from Loyola University he obtained a 4.0 GPA. In May 1976 he passed the Uniform CPA Exam on his first attempt with the highest score in the State of Maryland.
American Gas Association (AGA) – Accounting Advisory Council – Chairman 1988-1989: In 1988 the AGA appointed Tom chairman of its Accounting Advisory Council. The Council is a select group of national accounting experts that regularly provide guidance to the Financial Accounting Standards Board in the development and implementation of accounting standards for regulated gas and electric utilities.
1988 U.S. Delegation for the Future Leaders Exchange Program to Europe: Tom was selected as one of 15 delegates to represent the U.S. in a 1988 leaders exchange to Europe. The delegation visited with European business and government leaders to discuss the European Economic Community.
